UNIQUE
EXPERIENCES comprise Unique Inns’ loyalty program, allowing
member innkeepers to show their appreciation to their guests
– UNIQUE TRAVELERS. For
as few as five stays at member inns, UNIQUE TRAVELERS earn their
choice of a UNIQUE EXPERIENCE.
EXPERIENCES
are designed by the innkeepers to reflect their location or
their personal interest – such as art, wine, food, fishing,
or hiking. They may be offered only once or may be tied to a
specific date or time of year. Some
EXPERIENCES are adventures, others are relaxing. EXPERIENCES
will change and UNIQUE TRAVELERS should check here for available
offerings.
Become
a UNIQUE TRAVELER and experience the variety embodied by member
inns, their innkeepers and their locations by staying with at
least three different inns. Once you have accumulated five different
stays, you will be eligible for a UNIQUE EXPERIENCE.

Peninsula Guided Tour
Take a private and personally guided tour of the Saanich Peninsula
on Vancouver Island. Your journey begins with a scenic ocean
drive along the coast, through heritage neighborhoods and executive
mansions. Drive through lush forests and view the city of Victoria
from atop Mt. Douglas. Lunch will be at a seaside restaurant,
where you can sample fresh local seafood and walk along the
beach. After lunch, you will visit Mattick’s Farm and have a
chance to browse the quaint shops or grab some ice cream.
The
tour continues through rich farmland to the quaint seaside town
of Sidney (Sister City to Cairns, Australia), where you can
stroll along the sea walk, browse the many new and used bookstores,
boutiques, or simply sit along the ocean and watch the boats
sail past. Enjoy this tour that takes you off the beaten path
to areas known only to locals. You will sample the many different
sights, sounds, and tastes of the Saanich Peninsula and leave

innkeepers, David Campiche and Laurie Anderson will have completed
the refurbishing of their 1937 Oldsmobile Business Coupe. The
back seat may not be very roomy, but the trunk is enormous!
David and Laurie will drive you to one of the many scenic spots
on the Long Beach Peninsula where you will partake of a gourmet
tailgate picnic. Sample delightful and refreshing Pacific Northwest
cuisine and learn about the end of the Lewis & Clark trail.
Redeemable Sunday through Thursday, excluding all holidays and

tour of the real San Juan Islands with inn proprietors, Riley
and Judy. Lummi Island is located in the northwest corner of
Bellingham, Washington, and just minutes away from any of the
San Juan Islands. Guests can relax in the warm sand on an unspoiled
island while enjoying an organic gourmet lunch, complete with
fine wine. Tours among the islands located within the San Juan
Marine Preserve can be customized according to guest preferences.
The tour also includes a visit to the famed reefnet gears for
a hands-on look at this ancient salmon fishery. This package

1) A guided nature walk through the vast network of beautiful
trails surrounding Jacksonville. The tour would include specifics
on the distinct flora and fauna in the area, as well as the
historic use of the land during the gold mining days of the
1800s, and/or 2) A guided tour through historic points of interest
in the town, including historic facts regarding the various
buildings and beautifully restored homes and their uses in the
late 1800s.

Celebration of Nature Package, which will include an opportunity
to explore historic and ecologically preserved Big River, California’s
longest undeveloped estuary, by traditional canoe or kayak.
Qualifying guests will receive the Inn’s interpretive map of
Big River Estuary for their trip. In addition, coastal trails
and back roads can be leisurely explored on quality mountain
bikes. A custom trail map is provided to guide your explorations.
The
Inn’s gardens are certified organic by California Certified
Organic Farmers and the restaurant serves organic cuisine at
breakfast and dinner. To better understand the philosophy of
the Inn, guests will be presented with three books that underlie
the work at the gardens, Big River Nursery, and the food at
the Ravens Restaurant. In addition, if the guests so choose,
they will receive an annotated menu covering most of the ingredients
used at the Ravens, with reference to enhancement of the immune
system.

by harvesting and curing the olives that grow around the property
of this lovely wine country setting. Learn how to both lye cure
and salt cure olives with techniques that date back thousands
of years. Return one month later when the olives have been fully
cured. Flavor and pack the olives, create your own custom label,
and take home 20 quarts of your hard-earned treasure, just in
time for holiday gift giving. Gourmet sack lunches will be provided
each Saturday afternoon. No host communal dinners will be arranged
for each night, and the event will culminate with a casual dinner
hosted by Jim and his Staff on the 2nd Saturday of December.
