The Annual Tree Lighting ceremony is held at the Amity Community Center (401 S Trade Street). Caroling will take place to help everyone get into the spirit while all await Santa’s arrival. The Amity Volunteer Firefighters will escort Santa to the event aboard a decorated fire truck, along the parade route through town. The parade begins at 5:30 pm at the Amity Fire Station. The route is the same as in past years and proceeds from the fire station, heading to Church Avenue to Oak Avenue, then to Rosedell Avenue and across Trade to Stanley Street then to 6th Street and along Trade Street, past the Community Center and around the block and back to the Community Center. Hot chocolate and cookies as well as crafts will be provided at this free event.
