Wonderful Winter Magic

Monday, October 14, 2013

Be entertained all winter long at the Groveland Hotel by attending their Winter Magic Shows. These special events focus on showcasing several world-class showmen (and one showwoman!).

Enjoy dinner, a show and a lovely stay at the Groveland Hotel this winter by attending one of these seriously entertaining, upcoming shows:

October 12th
Dynamic and funny Jimmy H., who has performed at Disneyland, Hollywood’s Magic Castle, Sea World, and The Queen Mary, among many other venues. He has won multiple awards from The Society of American Magicians and others, including “Best Manipulation Act” (twice!), and has made several television appearances as well. Jimmy was just 16 when he was admitted into the prestigious Academy of Magical Arts at The Magic Castle. Later, in the year 2000, he was the recipient of The Academy of Magical Arts Junior Achievement Award for that year.

November 16th
Don’t let his age fool you—Bryan Gilles is a rare second-generation illusionist who has studied the tricks and techniques of such magic nobility as David Copperfield, Doug Henning and Lance Burton as part of the Las Vegas show circuit. Bryan has been performing since the age of five, touring the country with his father’s magic act.

January 18th
Heather Rogers is a variety entertainer who comes with an impressive pedigree which includes many years of circus, dance, and mime training, including time with the Pickle Family Circus. She performed at President Obama’s Inaugural Ball in January, 2013, and has amazed audiences of all sizes from The Wonder Dome in Las Vegas to local gas station attendants. Heather’s joyful “heart magic and humor” will bring a ray of sunshine to this wonderful winter evening.

February 22nd
Back by popular demand the extraordinary Robert Baxt on Saturday, February 22. Besides performing at Hollywood’s Magic Castle as both magician and master of ceremonies, Robert is known and respected across the magic community as an innovator and consummate showman to be emulated. His hilarious vaudeville style is unique and harkens back across the history of the stage magician. He has also appeared on television as a guest star on such shows as the hit CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother.” Robert’s show sold out last year, so do not wait to reserve your space for this very special one-night-only performance.
