The world’s largest crab pot Christmas tree made from real live crab pots. This festive event is held annually on the first Saturday of December at the Port of Ilwaco. The tree lighting is at 5 pm sharp, followed by a reading of “A Coastal Christmas” by Lynette McAdams, crabby Christmas caroling and the world’s shortest firework display. This year’s event will pay tribute to the local crabbing fleet. After the lighting, visit participating businesses along the waterfront at the Port of Ilwaco for annual traditions like Santa Claus, hot chocolate, cookies and more! Dress warm and wear your boots because this holiday tradition happens rain, storm or shine!
