In our commitment to flexibility and meeting the diverse needs of our members, we offer two distinct tiers of membership:
Tier 1 - Introductory Membership ($50/month): As an Introductory member, you'll gain access to a wide range of benefits that aim to boost your exposure and enhance your guest relationships. These include your inn's profile listing on uniqueinns.com, features in our monthly newsletter reaching 10,000+ subscribers, active promotion across our social media channels, recommendations to guests upon completion of their stay at another Unique Inn, and participation in our popular rewards program.
Tier 2 - Premier Membership ($170/month): The Premier Membership tier elevates your Unique Inns experience to new heights. As a Premier member, you'll enjoy all the benefits of the Introductory tier, plus much more. You'll gain access to exclusive member discussions, generous discounts at other member inns, voting rights at members' meetings, a prominent "Premier" badge next to your name on our website, and priority exposure for your property.

UniqueInns.com is a top referrer of traffic and reservations for members. Members typically recieve 200-600 high quality referrals per month. Attract prospective guests through showcasing your Inn on a Unique profile page along with our Location, Unique Inns Difference, and Blog pages.
Promotion in the Unique Inns Newsletter
The Unique Inns monthly email Newsletter is delivered to approximately 10,000 subscribed guests. It highlights Unique Inns specials, travel ideas, testimonials and delicious recipes from our members. Our Newsletter keeps your Inn fresh in the minds of guests getting ready to travel.
Social Media Exposure
Unique Inns actively participates in social networking on a daily basis. We post specials, travel ideas, tips, and forward member’s media posts to our network of followers. The Unique Inns Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages promotes your Inn with your photos, specials, news, and more.
Participation in our Rewards Program
Our Rewards Program brings repeat business, loyalty to our brand, and incentive for guests to stay unique. We offer guests $20 for each stay at a Unique Inn. When they have accumulated $100 they are issued a Rewards Gift Certificate that can be redeemed at their next stay at any Unique Inn property. Keep guests coming back with the Unique Inns Rewards Program.
Participation in our Innkeeper Referral Network
Unique Inns is a community of members referring each other's properties to traveling guests. Once a year Innkeepers meet for a fun membership meeting to dine, wine, share ideas and experiences.
The Unique Inns Credibility
Membership with Unique Inns allows use of our logo on your advertisements, associating your level of quality and uniqueness with the Unique Inns Brand. Members are provided with an elegant brass plaque to adorn their property’s entrance with recognized quality and a Members Emblem for placement on your website.
Special Member Benefits
Unique Inns members enjoy 50% or greater room discounts for you and your staff at any member location. Share ideas with fellow Innkeepers and allow them to learn first-hand about your property for future referrals.
About Unique Inns
Our group typically includes approximately 45 members in North America including Alaska, Hawaii, Canada and Mexico.
We are seeking new members in: Alaska, British Columbia, Alberta, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, California, Texas, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Mexico & Hawaii.

Unique Inns was chartered in 1982 as one of the first bed and breakfast innkeeping organizations.

Read the following information on our membership dues and approval process
Tier 1 - USD $50/month
Tier 2 - USD $170/month
Dues are voted upon by the Tier 2 members at the spring meeting for each fiscal year, based on budget projections for business operations. This amount is shared by the member inns and paid monthly or yearly.
How to become a member of Unique Inns? It's simple! Here are the steps you need to follow:
Complete the Application: To begin, fill out the membership application form found below. Rest assured, there is no fee associated with submitting an application.
Committee Review: Once we receive your application, it will be thoroughly evaluated by our Membership Committee. This review process typically takes about a week.
Site Visits: If you are applying for Tier 2 membership, please be prepared to accommodate at least one overnight site visit (up to a maximum of three) by current Unique Inns members. This requirement may be waived at the discretion of the Membership Committee.
Approval and Payment: Upon approval by the Membership Committee, you will be officially welcomed as a Unique Inns member. Please note that this status is contingent upon the payment of your membership fees.
Onboarding: Following the approval and payment, we will start incorporating your property into our website. We will also send you a welcome package filled with helpful resources to enable you to fully leverage your member benefits.

To qualify for membership with Unique Inns, your property must meet the following criteria:
Geographical Location: Your inn should be situated in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
Online Rating: We expect our member inns to uphold a high standard of quality. Therefore, your property should have an average online rating of at least 4 stars.
Committee Approval: Every application undergoes a thorough review process. Your membership will be subject to the approval of the Unique Inns Membership Committee.
Meeting these requirements is the first step towards becoming a part of our distinctive and esteemed community.
Our Rewards Program is a customer loyalty initiative designed to encourage repeat stays at our member properties and foster greater brand loyalty. Here's how it works:
- For each stay at a Unique Inn, guests are rewarded with a $20 credit.
- When guests have accumulated $100 in credits, we issue them a Rewards Gift Certificate.
- This Gift Certificate can be redeemed at the guests' next stay at any Unique Inn property.
The Unique Inns Rewards Program is not only a wonderful way to thank our guests for their patronage, but also a robust tool to ensure continuous engagement with the Unique Inns brand, encouraging them to explore the distinctive experiences each of our member properties offers.
Being a member of Unique Inns opens up ample opportunities for networking and collaborative learning.
For our Introductory Tier 1 members, they are invited to attend the Annual Membership Meeting during their first year of joining. This is a perfect occasion to meet other members, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights into the innkeeping industry.
Our Premier Tier 2 members are not only invited to these annual meetings but also have access to our social events. These occasions are designed for both innkeepers and their staff to foster relationships, learn from one another, and celebrate shared successes.
Moreover, all members have the opportunity to engage in ongoing email discussions where they can ask questions, share experiences, and contribute ideas. This interactive platform allows members to learn from each other and grow their businesses collectively.
At Unique Inns, we understand the importance of flexibility, and that's why our commitment periods vary according to the membership tier.
For our Introductory Tier 1 members, we ask for a minimum commitment of 3 months. This allows enough time for members to explore and benefit from our resources, marketing tools, and networking opportunities.
For our Premier Tier 2 members, we have no minimum commitment period. We believe in the value and extensive benefits this membership offers and we trust that our members will find this tier advantageous enough to maintain their status.
