All the World's a Stage at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival

Immerse yourself in a truly unforgettable theatre-going experience that is hugely entertaining. Founded in 1935, the Tony Award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival is one of the oldest and largest professional non-profit theatres in the nation.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival takes place in the charming town of Ashland, which is also home of the beautiful Winchester Inn. Every year the festival presents an eight-and-a-half-month season of eleven plays in three theatres plus numerous additional activities, and undertakes an extensive theatre education program. Operating on a budget exceeding $26 million, the Festival presents more than 780 performances per year with attendance of approximately 400, 000.

While theatre is a special focus, it is important to keep in mind that there is an exciting and diverse wealth of other things to see and do during your visit to Ashland, including: Jacksonville's Britt Festival, Crater Lake, the wild Rogue River, and many superb local wineries and restaurants. Just ask one of the friendly staff at the Winchester Inn and they would be more then happy to explore your options with you and make recommendations.
